There are several different factors that go into the price of a security window screen. This includes the range you choose (from Welded Diamond through to the premium ForceField range), the size of the screen, whether you select any additional accessories and if any accessories are required to fit the screen to ensure Australian Standards compliance. As a guide (for an average sized 1200mm x 900mm fixed window screen), the RRP inc GST can range from $290-$700 installed.

When getting the price of a security door, it is very important to ensure you are getting an Australian Standard compliant door. Factors like the lock can have a big impact on the price, but also can mean that the door you receive is not a security door. For a security hinge door, with triple point lock, (size 2100mm x 900mm), the RRP inc GST can range from $750-$1450 installed. This price varies again due the range, whether you add optional accessories and whether any additional extrusions are required for the fitting process.

This is one of the biggest reasons for a price difference between doors. The Australian Standards are very specific in regards to what must be included when manufacturing a security door. The three main things to look for, to ensure you receive a security door are; Does this product have a triple point lock and pin cylinder? Will this product come with an Australian Standards compliance label? And for a sliding security door, what interlocks will be used to ensure this door meets the Australian Standards for installation?

There’s many different factors that go into the price of security screens. Things that need to be considered are:
– Have you selected a standard, not standard or premium colour
– What range have you selected, ie ForceField, Protec, SnapLock or Welded Diamond
– What is the size of the screen? Our screens are manufactured to the millimetre, so size really does matter.
– What other accessories are required to fit the screen to the Australian Standards?
