Today Prowler Proof celebrated 40 years of manufacturing security screens and creating a safer place! We’ve now been supplying security doors and security windows to homes right throughout South East Queensland and across Australia.
Prowler Proof started up in 1984 manufacturing security screens from our original Banyo site. In 1991 Tasman Henry bought Prowler Proof with big plans to transform the business.
From there the innovations started to flow, from welded corners and online ordering, back in the 1990’s, to the introduction of ForceField security screens in 2003. ForceField continues to be the best stainless steel mesh security screen on the market.
In 2005 Michael Henry became managing director, with plans to continue Tasman’s vision and innovation.
Recognition came when we became double finalists for the Telstra Business Awards, and when we were rated as ‘World Class’ on the PROBE Global benchmark.
In 2009 we moved to our current factory, still in Banyo, but three times the size.
More innovation continued with the release of Protec perforated aluminium security screens, Hidden Installation Technology (H.I.T.) concealed interlocks and receivers, our dealer app, Guardian fall prevention window screens and the hinge window security screen, which was recognised as the Most Innovative Component by the Australian Glass and Window Association in 2019.
Today we were joined by our incredible team, and some of our amazing dealers and suppliers, we had a fantastic time enjoying morning tea and reminiscing on the last 40 years.
