To be deemed a security screen or door, the screen has to undergo and pass the testing requirements of the Australian Standards (AS). Once the tests have been past, then the screen can be labelled as a compliant security screen.

Fully Welded Construction in our Welded Diamond grille screens
The assembly method for a Diamond grille door or screen is one of the key factors in determining if the screen is strong enough to pass the AS tests. Most manufacturers use crimping or riveting as their method of joining the grille to the frame. Prowler Proof Welded Diamond welds the grille to the frame. Once it’s welded together, then it’s painted. This construction method allows our Welded Diamond to pass the harsh ‘pull test’ which is one of the six tests that make up the Australian Standards testing.
Sleek welded corners on our all screening products
In both our Welded Diamond and SnapLock you’ll find Prowler Proof’s unique welded corners. Our frames aren’t held together with corner stakes and rivets, they’re welded together, for an unbreakable bond. It’s not only strong, but it’s also more aesthetically pleasing.
Custom designed grille to ensure it passes the standards
We don’t use standard grille in our Diamond grille screens. We have had our diamond grille custom designed and manufactured to ensure it can withstand the rigorous shear test, another of the six tests in the Australian Standards. This test ensures you can’t cut through the diamond grille.

- Welded Diamond – where the grille and frame are powder coated the same colour, or
- SnapLock – where the grille is black and the frame can be powder coated in any of our 300 powder coat colours.
