At Prowler Proof, we believe that security doors and window screens should not only be strong but also aesthetically pleasing. Our security screens are designed to combine strength and style, providing security while also looking great and enhancing the overall appearance of your home. With a stunning range of 300 colours to choose from, that is 100 standard colours and 200 non-standard colours, you can ensure your security solutions complement your house’s design perfectly and select options that best suit your house. The choice of screen door colours can affect both the visual appeal and the perceived security of your home, making it important to select a colour that enhances your house’s style and curb appeal.
How can you view the available colours?
We have some on our range pages, which also act as a colour visualiser page where you can preview different screen door colours and finishes. A colour selection guide is available to help customers choose the right finish. You can ask your dealer during your measure and quote appointment, and they will have 50 of our 100 standard colours available on colour chips for you to examine. If your preferred colour is not on display, specific colours may be requested to match your individual preferences. Various settings and configurations are available for customising your security doors and screens.
Are powder coat colours the same as wet paint colours?
There are 300 powder coast colours to choose from, but it’s important to note that powder coat colours may differ from wet paint colours. Some powder coat finishes are designed to reflect the appearance of natural materials, offering a premium look that enhances your home’s aesthetic. To ensure you achieve the exact shade you desire, consult the powder coat colour charts available.
With 300 colours to choose from, will some colours have a longer lead time?
Thanks to our unique manufacturing process, all our security screens, regardless of the colour chosen, come with the same lead time. This efficiency is due to our onsite powder coating of the screens during manufacturing, ensuring that you receive your order in a timely manner.
Which parts of the screen are coloured?
For our ForceField, Guardian, Protec, SnapLock, and Insect screens, the frame is powder coated, out of the 300 colours to choose from, in your chosen colour, while the infill is either black or insect gauze. Some security screen door models, such as ForceField, use stainless steel mesh for added strength and durability, meeting Australian Standards for impact resistance. For the Welded Diamond and Heritage models, the grille or cast panel is also painted in the powder coat colour of your choice.

Benefits of custom colour options
Choosing custom colour options for your security screen doors and screens offers a host of advantages, allowing you to create a secure home that truly reflects your personal style. With Prowler Proof’s extensive colour range—including popular shades like pearl white gloss, woodland grey, ultra silver, classic black, and wallaby—you can select the perfect finish to suit your home’s unique character.
Our standard colour range varies by product, but with over 300 powder coated colours available, you’re sure to find a frame colour that matches your windows, doors, and existing décor. Whether you’re after a subtle tone to blend in or a bold hue to make your front door stand out, our authorised dealers can help you achieve a seamless colour match. For those who love the look of natural materials, we also offer powder coat colour finishes to complement timber doors and windows, providing a stylish and contemporary alternative to traditional colours.
Powder coated finishes are not only visually appealing but also highly durable, offering resistance to fading, chipping, and the harsh Australian climate. This ensures your security screens and doors maintain their true colours and fresh look for years to come. When selecting your custom colour, consider the visible colour of the frames, hinges, and hardware to ensure a cohesive and polished appearance throughout your home.
While custom colour options may attract an extra charge, they deliver a personalised solution that enhances both the security and aesthetics of your property. Our experienced authorised dealers can provide expert guidance, helping you choose the right colour options to suit your style, security needs, and budget.
