Australian Made
Proudly Australian owned & made
One manufacturer, one standard, every opening in the house
Prowler Proof security screens, doors and windows are designed, tested and made as one system. Every unit — hinge door, sliding door, fixed window or hinge window — comes off the same production line in our automated factory in Banyo, Queensland, using the same welded-corner construction and passing the same Australian Standard, AS 5039. That consistency is what lets a Prowler Proof door and a Prowler Proof window sit side by side on the same house and actually read as one design, rather than as separate retrofits from separate suppliers.
Behind the scenes, our exclusive H.I.T.® (Hidden Installation Technology) conceals the fixing extrusion inside the frame across the entire range, so there’s nothing visible to give the game away — and nothing exposed to tamper with. Combined with a 10-year full replacement warranty and a dealer network stretching from South Australia up through the eastern seaboard, it’s why Prowler Proof is the range homeowners and builders default to, rather than one option among many.
Screens, doors or windows — where to start
Security Screens ›
The broadest view of the range, every infill and opening type side by side. Start here if you’re still comparing ForceField, Protec, Guardian, Diamond and Insect before deciding what goes where.
Security Doors ›
Purpose-built for entryways: hinge doors for single and French openings, sliding doors for wide or stacking ones. Start here if you already know it’s a door you need.
Security Windows ›
Fixed screens for windows that stay shut, hinge screens with multi-point locking for the ones you still open and clean. Start here if windows are the priority.
Whatever brought you here, there’s a Prowler Proof answer
People land on security screens and doors for very different reasons — a break-in nearby, a toddler who’s just learned to climb, a two-storey renovation, or simply wanting a screen door that makes you feel safe when you open the front door to visitors. These pages go deeper on the specific situation you might be weighing up:

Our Range

ForceField®️
Woven from 316 marine-grade stainless steel, ForceField is the option when you want the mesh to disappear and the view to stay intact, without giving up strength.

Protec
A single sheet of perforated aluminium rather than a woven mesh, Protec trades a little visibility for extra rigidity and shrugs off coastal salt air better than most.

Guardian®️
Built to resist a child pushing or leaning against it, Guardian lets upper-storey windows open fully without turning fresh air into a fall risk.

Diamond
The tradional grille design, while still being compliant security — proven protection at the most accessible price point in the range.

Heritage
Cast panel designs, Heritage is for homeowners chasing character and ornamental detail on a period home, ahead of a security rating.

Insect Screens
Not security-rated, but built on the same welded corners as the rest of the range, so it won’t gap or work loose the way a cheap flyscreen does.
Frequently Asked Questions
“Security screen” is the umbrella term for the frame and mesh/grille system itself. A security door is that same system built into a hinge or sliding door; a security window is the identical system fitted to a fixed or opening window. Same standard, same construction, different opening.
It depends on the size and number of openings, the infill you choose, and the frame colour — every unit is custom-measured rather than sold off the shelf, so we don’t publish a fixed price list. A local certified dealer will give you an exact, obligation-free figure at the measure and quote stage.
Once measured, screens are manufactured locally in our Banyo factory rather than imported, which is what lets Prowler Proof offer Australia’s fastest lead times in the category. Exact timing varies by dealer and region — your local dealer will confirm a date at quote stage.
Yes. Every product in the range passes AS 5039, the Australian Standard for security screens, plus additional testing beyond the minimum requirement. See our Australian Standards (AS5039) page for the detail.
